"After PrTMS, my son is playing with his siblings, now speaking sentences instead of one-word answers. He is potty trained for the first time in eight years... life-changing! Thank you, Dr. Murphy.”
-Mom of a PrTMS Patient
PrTMS® is customized for each patient and not always meant to replace the therapies many families rely on, but it may help make them more effective. By rebalancing brainwave activity and “waking up” under-active regions of the brain often seen in children with autism.
When paired with Occupational Therapy (OT), which supports daily living skills like dressing, eating, or handwriting, PrTMS® may improve focus, sensory regulation, and motor planning, making OT sessions more impactful.
Children receiving Speech and Language Therapy often show better engagement and communication progress when underlying neurological imbalances are addressed.
Many families have also seen improvements in attention, emotional regulation, and behavior, which can lead to a reduced reliance on medications or allow for more targeted behavioral therapy, such as ABA. In some cases, after completing a full course of treatment, individuals may even find their need for traditional therapies significantly reduced or, over time, no longer necessary.
Every child is different, but for many, PrTMS® may be the missing piece that helps unlock the full potential of their current care plan.
Murphy, a radiation oncologist who specializes in treating brain tumors, said he started this treatment for his son who has autism. Six months after treatment with PrTMS, Murphy said his son went from being mostly nonverbal with no eye contact and poor fine motor skills to being able to look him in the eye and say, “I love you.” While he is most impassioned about his work with kids with autism, Murphy also has eight years of experience treating active military and veterans using PrTMS, along with performers and athletes.
